Main Project for 10/10/10 -- Sunday, September 10th, 2010.


Main Event: Awareness Building Bike Ride -- PLUS Incorporating other projects in our brainstorm below.

• 10/10/10 Sunday Brain Storm
• Bike Ride (Or skates, or pushing Alexx Igaki's car, or shopping cart )
• Roots and Shoots Shirts for Awareness (and to wear at school!)
• Beach Clean Up (NOTE: September 25th (This Saturday is International Beach/Coastal Cleanup)
• Plant Trees
• Community Garden
• Art Mural - Climate Change
• Seed Bombs
• Candlelight Vigil

-Plans and Ideas for the Club:

• Off the Grid SOON!
• Request the chalkboard space for awareness purposes.
• Inspiration: http://times-up.org/index.php (Doug's Awarness Group in NYC)

-Sam Hargrove: Pitching Sunrise Power Link -> SDG&E

• Awareness Campaign for Solar Panels on roofs.
• Build solar buildings/power spots throughout deserts. 
• Potential endangerment for animals and habitat.
• Note: Under current law, SDG&E can't profit off of making solar panels cheaper. 

 Looking Ahead:
What can we do for September?

• Talk to Jeremy/Doug about environment/green paintings to frame and hang in HTHI.
• Check sink nozzles for Brita Filters
  
• Talk to facilities about Recycling Bins
• Make Posters?

What will we do for our Next Meeting? TAKING ACTION.

• MAKE SEED BOMBS!
• Build advisory packages to make seed bombs.
• Create Roots and Shoots shirts to wear at school and during projects/events.
• Create Google Map bike route.
• Plan when to bring bikes
• Register for 350.org and make a sign to rep for our projects.
• Commission Jeremy's class to do mural.
